Founded by a former artist from Weta Digital and Soul Machines, we at Prep Point set out to create a one stop Visual Effects shop for VFX Prep Work.
Between our full time staff and contractor expertise, Prep Point Studio has over 12 years of experience in feature film Roto/Prep and credits in over 20 major motion pictures.
At Prep Point we deliver high quality, quick turnaround Rotoscoping and Prep/Clean Up work. We also specialize in finishing up any loose ends left by others, to help our clients meet deadlines.

Rotoscoping
Rotoscoping is an animation technique used in the creation of Visual Effects. Rotoscoping is the process used to create 2D mattes, which are used to hold out or remove elements from a live action plate, during the process of Compositing.
At Prep Point we have the ability to Roto the simplest of shapes through to the most complex of hair strands.

Prep | Clean up
Prep is the name given to a combination of techniques used in the clean-up of backgrounds in live action film footage. Prep artists are responsible for rig removal, painting out markers and wires before the 'clean plate' is passed on to the Compositors. High-level of quality control and a keen eye for detail is necessary, as their work must be invisible.
